Nevermid, I'll just set up a separate thread for rules. We can make a battle thread based on rules we develop here, and return this to how it was previously.

Yeah the rules thread is good. No cure limit this time, but for later battles we should probably come up with an MP system for curing or some such thing.

In fact an HP/MP system would make it easier to know how much damage/spell power each battle has (or we could go on forever *_*), I'll wait to see what you suggest is best and then we can put it in the rules section

Casts half-turn variant of Stopja on Val so as not to get hit, and casts Sense to keep a lock on where the caster of the demon spell went, and who it was.

OOC: uses an OOC bonus spell to check in on the cafe for an instant to make sure our doppelgangers haven;t faded, run the cafe into the ground, or done anything humiliating.

Still OOC, but back on the subject of the game: Either the game contines as Miss V unfreezes and we continue the fight to whenever someone admits defeat or the rules thread is completed, or Chaos becomes part of the battle. He can be an observer if the battle continues without him.

I would say it's a draw, or at least a mutual forfeit. We can restart n the other thread with, say, 75% HP apiece, I have 50%MP anbd you have 75%MP and 80%agility. That sound fair?

Hope you guys enjoy the short holiday, I decided it would be a nice chance to discuss selling strategies and generally see how everyone's doing, have a little informal meeting *realizes I'm still in formal dress, runs off to change, comes back in jeans and t-shirt*

Well, we have already started by serving FF and video-game themed drinks, how about if the menu and/or decor is changed (subtly) to reflect that? No? maybe? nothing ridiculous like chocobo costumes or serving hamburgers cut in the shape of materia. Though we could have Kampai! cater the grand opening of the associated whatever-it-is next door, and on Karaoke nights over there (which I assume is eight nights per week), we could offer drinks from Kampai. Just some suggestions. It's kind of hard to think outside the box without thinking ridiculously outside the boix when the restaurant/bar/cafe itself is entirely outside the box (metaphorically, like the phrase "think outside the box" and literally, like the TARDIS effect we seem to have worked on the cafe).

As for now, I expect that I already will have gone back in time to serve drinks from after the meetiong, diuring the meeting. Either that, or my shadow clones are still in effect. Whichever is cool, there doesn;t seem to be any riots or panicked mobs.

I like the idea of changing the decor, something to reflect both the FF theme as you suggested and perhaps a bit of Sorrow's charm (though perhaps not so much pink )

Catering is an interesting idea, would bring in more money (not that the budget is hurting for it ) so I could give you guys a pay rise if it works. Though I should be giving one anyway I guess since I haven't done so since Christmas *_*

I also like the idea of themed menu nights, like Combine Tuesdays or Alucard Sundays. What do you think Firesnake? *nudges*

Yeah, themed menu nights woul be a better idea than the constant themed menu I suggested.

We could, however, install a new front window, sort of a magic greenscreen, that still shows the pedestrians outside but that makes it appear that the street background is actually a daily-changing Final Fantasy scene (such as Mt. Corel, or Lake Macalania). Or, if that's too musch effort to design, we could kust have a one-way screen that on the insideshows a random FF area. SOem people like peoplewatching, though. Maybe it could just be Famous Battle Sequences during evenings, to do with the menu theme for the day.
