Fauxlosophy
A portmanteau of faux and philosophy. Random musings that don't need to be taken at all seriously. For example:
When you shoot a bow, the arrow stays in place and everything else moves backwards.
Like tat. Random thoughts thast just come to you.

Re: Fauxlosophy
Wow I get quite a few random thought like tat!
Like if you have two apples, and six oranges, how come none of tehm have been eaten?? Are they bad? Why are they just lying there?? Don't the kids feel hungry when the teacher mentions them??
Don't I make myself sound dumb?

Re: Fauxlosophy
wow that is random
When a apple falls out of a tree the eart and the apple move towards eachother (the apple much more than the earth). So if you would drop like a billion apples on the same spot would you be able to move the earth?

Re: Fauxlosophy
I don't think so, because even a billion apples wouldn't come anywhere close to the mass of the earth.
y'know. I wanna go faster than the speed of light so I can go backwards through time. not to change anything, I just wanna see it done.

Re: Fauxlosophy
Well...Jupiter, because since you've thrown in, and Its gravity is more than enough to like crush the earth, It would be the one moving farther.

Re: Fauxlosophy
But what if one threw something with a set volume and variable density? It's completely impossible, but the air resistance<->specific gravity would change. What would happenm if one attempted to test the falling obje cts theory with that? For that matter, what if Galileo was drunk when he tried it, and the lead bals fell at different rates, and we'rew all just fooling ourselves? woah, that's almost serious. But at least it's pointless./
Re: Fauxlosophy
then the laws of science and especially physics would be altered inrepairably.
but, oh well...My friends and I are creating this thing we call the normal gun(normal is our "sister" city, and we have a big rivalry with them) and its a coil gun...its awesome.

they are building windmills in the sea so why not?
It seems like everything in the world is connected... I am really close in breaking the code. If an apple is round wouldn't it be more happy as a square?

Well if shapes dance around on TV singing in front of it, the apple must pick its favourite...
Heheheheh a funny thing happened to me yesterday- I'm so used to reading Mangas printed backwards as they are in Japan, that I started accidentally trying to read Herbalism backwards, I've really lost it!

Re: Fauxlosophy
Yeah, that's weird the first time it happens. Then you sdort of get used to it.
Wouldn't it be so cool if plot devices really existed? I wonder how they could be used? Ooh, what would a plot device look like? Would it look mecjhanical, or like a normal object, or something weird? What if the perception around ithem was weirrd, because of how they could change existence, like they smelled blue or sounded like rottenb eggs? rooten eggs would sound weird. Oh the signs probably come from a childrens' cartoon equivalent of hammerspace. I wonder what nothing tastes lik? I imagine it would taste kiind of cool and clear, it there was some way to expose one's tongue to a perfect vacuum without it exploding. The tongue, not the vacuum generator. Hmm.

Re: Fauxlosophy
I think a plot device would just be a lever that, when pulled makes things happen. and I think nothing would taste like blood because if you were exposed to a perfect vaccuum, which space comes really close to(but not PERFECT), whatever touched it would be obliterated and blood would start to flow from the parts that hadn't touched the vaccuum.
If going closer and closer to the speed of light slows down time, then would going slower and slower speed up time? If you went past the speed of light, how would you be able to determine how far in the past you would go before you stopped? because whatever is going faster than the speed of light keeps the same speed, so you wouldn't actually be able to tell I think....

Re: Fauxlosophy
Have you ever tried to think in five dimensions? It's freaky. And not just thinking of representations of said dimensions, but five visual dimensions. It's seemingly happened to me twice on purpose, once on accident. Or the other way around.
Edit: If something was completely different, wouldn't it seem exactly the same?

Re: Fauxlosophy
Yes it would. My teacher told me you can't polish a pile of crap, because it would still be a pile of crap

Re: Fauxlosophy
everything is better shiny. its a proven fact. and if it's textless, it just makes it that much better when its shiny. that is a philosophy to live your life by, I garuntee it.
y'know, I saw the future once...but it just happened to be my future ten years in the future. I know I did, because I had this dream that took place when I was 5, and last year I lived that same day in real life...but it only happened once and it was creepy.
I told this story to ask this question. are there oracles in this world, are there true soothsayers? are there really people that can look into the future at will and be able to relay that information to others? and, if so, then would they, themselves, go crazy for what they have seen, because knowing everything that ever will happen would seem to be the most horrible punishment you could put on a person, because the basic future humanity can never escape is war, and death, and pain.
hmmm....I got serious there for a moment....oh well, I'm too lazy to delete it, o do with it what you will.

If the pen is mightier than the sword, then how is it that actions speak louder than words?
Some sayings just make no sense.

Re: Fauxlosophy
Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man stupid and blind in the eyes. -obert Heinlen as Jubald Harrshaw, A Martian Named Smith
If the early bird gets the worm, how come the second mouse gets the cheese? How does one know if you;re a bird or a mouse? Either way, it;s important to watch for cats. And remember, the pen is mightier than the sword, because it takes lnger to go for the heart with a sword than it does to go for the brain-via-the-eye-sockets with a pen. And always feen the brirds, unless it costs a tuppence a day, because then you;re gbetting ripped off for birdseed costs. The early birds get birdseed anyway, noone feeds them worms!
So, anyway, the ideas that are spread by the pen are mightier than any sword or most groupos of swords,m but if the sword gets there first,m the pen can;t create subversive attitudes... Or something like that.

Answer me this:
If one is already at the destination, why make the journy? If you have all the answers, why ask questions?
