Edward Elric is teh proptagonist of Fullmetal Alchemist, and Colonel Mustang (the Flame Alchemist) is sort of an antihero of the series. Or antivillain. I can never remember which is which.

Is antivillain the good guy who acts slightly antagonistic, and the antihero is the guy who works torwards the same end as the main character, but on the other side of the law? Or am I mixing those up?

It's an imagination thing, it has to be. With manga it is completely the artist's representation whereas with just words you can be a bit more creative.
