Last Miscalanious Purchase.
Greetings.
Use this thread to inform the posters of what you have last purchased.
I always thought it was interesting, and as well, believe it to be a good way to get to know one another.
So I shall begin...Apart from my usual Saturday grocery run and video game hunting (Nothing to report this week.) my main plan was to buy a lamp...my upstairs neighbour seems to enjoy stomping around as an elephant, and he does it so much and so hard, that I have come to believe that he has loosened some wiring or some such thing in the ceiling lamp...when I turn it on, it flickers and makes these frightening buzzing noises, as if everything will explode...so I have condemned this light, and got a new one. And no, 'tis not the light bulb, as I have tried changing it with a new one, and the same thing happens.
The model I wanted came with two lamps however, and I only needed one...a table lamp and a post lamp.
But I just wanted that one model so much...The stand is thick and heavy and carved with intricate twirly patterns, and it is jet black, with a white...er, what do you call those lamp hats? Anyway, it looks really old, and sort of antique-y, although it is naught but a replica, for the price which was asked.
So I put the destined table lamp in my bedroom, and am using the tall lamp in the living room. With the hat thingy on, it does not light so much, but it makes everything look so much cozier, and pretty.
Besides, too much light in a bedroom is bad atmosphere, and the low light in the living room makes for a greater visual experience when playing video games!

Re: Last Miscalanious Purchase.
er, what do you call those lamp hats?
Ah, you mean lamp shades! And yeah I find it annoying when you just want one of an item, but have to buy a pack of two. Like once I wanted a kettle, but had to buy a kettle and toaster set because I couldn't get a single one, now I have a toaster I really don't need!
Oooooh, my last purchase, that would be an advent calendar for my little one, it's a milkybar one he'll love it! Usually I leave all my Christmas purchases till the last minute, but with the evil that's coming to my house in the next few months I have to start early this year. For myself I bought some really nice soap from the local Lush store!

Lamp shades! How could I forget such a simple name? XD
But what is this evil of which you speak? And oooh, soap.
I like soap shopping, for some reason.
Last thing I have purchased; a carton of cigarettes and a coffee from Tim Horton's!

Re: Last Miscalanious Purchase.
Ah, the evil. As of tomorrow, I will have to pack my computer away for a long time because of some building work that will be done on my house (it's the local council, I had no choice but to accept because I rent the house). I will be living at my mum's house for a couple of months and will only have access to my email, so no posting for me for a long time sob sob!!!

I bought even more soap today, to make up for the fact that I couldn't find Love Hina vol 11. It will have to wait now!

Hahahahaha Lush is really near to the bookshop, so it was my next stop. Anyway, after walking around all the other bookshops and memorabillia stores for hours, I will need a bath and a massage!!!

Ah, so Miss Valentine will be absent for a bit? Aaaw.
But I will indeed proceed to wish you good luck with the constructions...I hope that it goes by fast.
